Cancellations / Recording →
Some bad news. Lloyd is out for about a month with a separated shoulder, so we’re going to have to cancel our appearance at our next show. The good news is that it will still be an amazing show without us, and we’re going to continue working on the record for the next few weeks while Lloyd heals up. Keep watching this spot for more nonsensical videos and recording news.

Creosote Acoustic Lacquer EP
On a whim, we recorded a short acoustic EP, called Creosote Acoustic Lacquer. It’s available for free on bandcamp, so what do you have to lose, huh?
Rock and Soul
As a Rock band, made up of bodies who have souls in them, it is appropriate that we are playing the Rock and Soul Fest at Montclair State University this weekend. Come on down, would ya?
American Censorship Day
Today, the US House Judiciary Committee has a hearing on the [1] Stop Online Piracy Act or SOPA. The text of the bill is [2] here. This bill would strengthen copyright holders’ means to go after allegedly infringing sites at detrimental cost to the freedom and integrity of the Internet. As a result, we ask you to join forces with organizations such as the EFF, Mozilla, Wikimedia, and the FSF...

We’re on a bit of a break from public life during October, but we’re coming back with a pile of shows and one radio appearance in November. In the meantime, we’re woodshedding and writing new material. More details will be posted in this spot as soon as we’ve got them.

Updates to the calendar
Three (3!) shows added to the show calendar for September. More details to come on the last two soon. Once October rolls around it’s back to business as usual. Adam’s turning 30 so he’ll likely be passed out underneath a desk for a couple weeks, subsisting only on Cool Ranch Doritos and Shanghais.

What is an album, exactly?
We’re going to be spending a little time in August laying out the foundations for our next album. It’s been pretty long overdue, but we’ve definitely managed to hit our share of road bumps along the way. We’ve got a batch of new songs that we’re very excited about and we’re working on new ones every day.
Recording an album is my most favorite and least favorite...

New Web Site →
We’ve got a new web site! Adam spent a lot of time over the weekend drinking whiskey and fretting about line height and whitespace.
The new site automatically pulls stuff from our tumblr account to post on the front page, and it also happens to look like a real website for a change! How about that ?

Jersey Beat's Top 10 New Jersey Albums →
Look at this!
We made Jim Testa’s list of Top 10 New Jersey Albums of 2010, among some very distinguished company: Gay Blades, Screaming Females, Val Emmich, and more. We also made Jim’s radio program, Rock and Roll Gas Station, again.
This makes me beam with pride. Thanks, Jim.

Lucky 7
We are playing the Lucky 7 Tavern in beautiful Jersey City on July 6. Festivities begin at 8pm, we’re on at 9pm. We hope to bring some kind of stripped-down version of us to the gig so as to not destroy your ears. Should be a good time.>
